The Business Services & Solutions teams

  • Finance & Accounting – figuring out the figures

    Finance & Accounting takes care of the operational accounting at FPS, which includes all the bookings and payment transactions that occur in the company. In external accounting, the team is responsible for operational accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger accounting, as well as the documentation of assets and the recording of business transactions and payroll accounting. The accountants take care of the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and prepare forecasts, analyses and documentation.

  • Human Resources – focus on people

    Committed and talented individuals are the capital FPS uses to handle all its tasks, projects and the challenges of the future. Our employees achieve outstanding results thanks to their expertise and passion. The HR team demonstrates great intuition, empathy and joy in dealing with a wide variety of personalities in the recruitment, retention and development of these talents. The team is by the side of all our colleagues from the first meeting, supports their professional development and helps them develop their full potential. With one eye on the future at all times, they rethink the processes in the areas of recruiting, personnel marketing and personnel development on an ongoing basis and find innovative solutions that meet the needs of applicants, employees and the partnership.

  • Information Technology & Security – in tune with the times

    Bits and bytes at FPS: from professional planning, consulting and commissioning to care and maintenance of the IT infrastructure, and from client to server, software and cloud services. Together, the team ensures that business operations can continue at all times. These experts cover first to third level support, solve problems, and provide tips and support throughout the company. Their other core competencies include IT and information security, programming and IT project work. This also includes support for and monitoring of all locations.

  • Knowledge Management – knowing what to do and how to do it

    Access to knowledge and information is central to FPS’s work. That is why the Knowledge Management team continually develops the company intranet, our knowledge hub for internal information. The team supports lawyers in their legal research and provides information in libraries and databases.

  • Legal Operations & Business Processes – process optimisation

    This team plans, manages and monitors all of FPS’s internal business processes and makes sure they flow smoothly. As the business process hub, they develop methods and innovative solutions for FPS and its various teams: from consulting to legal tech and from quality management to the organisation of the firm. 

  • Legal Project Management – keeping an eye on the big picture

    This team supervises various tasks in the internal and external project management with methodocal focus. Tried-and-tested project management methods are used to ensure sound planning, smooth coordination and successful implementation of projects and client work. In this context, the focus is on target development, project plans, reporting, status reports, stakeholder management, risk and opportunity management, kick-offs and reviews.

  • Marketing & Communications – spreading the news

    The marketing experts are responsible for the internal and external image of FPS and the competitiveness of the brand. The team manages all the marketing measures across various channels. This includes advertisements, brochures, and event and workshop formats, as well as sponsorships. Their tasks also include managing the FPS website and social media activity in order to ensure a uniform appearance of the brand and the corporate design. Beyond all that, they also take care of public relations, communications and event management.

  • Office Management – digital expertise

    This is where all the organisational threads come together: the Office Management and Technical Administration team coordinates all the office work and forms the interface between management and each employee. The team oversees all the organisational processes and ensures smooth running of administrative tasks and human resources.

Application FAQ

  • How can I apply to FPS?

    Apply online via our website. To do so, upload your application documents such as a cover letter, CV, references and any employment records as PDF files. Click here to view current vacancies.

  • Can I send a speculative application?

    We are always looking for qualified and committed colleagues. If there is currently no vacancy advertised on our careers page that matches your profile or what you are looking for, feel free to send us a speculative application. If we don’t have a space that fits you at the moment, with your consent we will add you to our talent pool and contact you whenever a suitable vacancy arises.

  • What documents should I include in my application?

    A full set of application documents makes the application process much simpler for both parties. With that in mind, your application should include a convincing letter of motivation, your CV and any relevant degree certificates and employment records.

  • What lead times should I keep in mind?

    If you are starting your career, want to change jobs or if you are working as a research assistant, it is often possible to join FPS very quickly. Send us your application with your desired starting date and scope of work and we will check everything else as soon as possible. 
    Ideally, you should plan a lead time of at least six months for a role as part of your legal clerkship. Please note the set application deadline for our internship programme FPS in Practice, which runs on a regular basis.

  • How does the application process work?

    As soon as we receive your application, we will send you confirmation of receipt via email. As a rule, we will get back to you within one to two weeks at the most. If your application impresses us, we will invite you for an interview. This gives you the opportunity to get to know FPS and the team and both sides will find out whether they can picture working together on a personal and professional level. If everyone is convinced after the interview, you will receive a contract offer and we will be very happy to welcome you into the FPS team.
